ASHLEY BECKER

SOPRANO

BIOGRAPHY

Dramatic Soprano Ashley Becker joined Riverside Opera/Orchestra in June, 2019 to sing excerpts from Turandot, Tosca and Die Walküre in addition to making her role debut as Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera with Amore Opera in May/June 2019.

 

In August 2019 Ashley revisited the role of Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites with Savannah Voice Festival/Milnes Voice Studio and then made her Taiwan recital debut in October, 2019, with stops at the Taipei National Theatre and Concert Hall in Taipei and Taitung University.

 

Other recent performances include the role of Tatyana in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin with the Russian Opera Workshop in Philadelphia, PA and a Professional Fellowship with Songfest. Ashley has additionally performed Janacek's Jenufa with Opera Slavica, Francesca in Francesca da Rimini the Russian Opera Workshop, excerpts from Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire as Blanche with One World Symphony.

 

Ashley has performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra as a featured performer in their Young People's Concerts series, as well as in outreach concerts with the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, Rapides Symphony Orchestra, and as a soloist with the Choeur Classique de Montreal.

 

Ashley has been an apprentice at the Seagle Music Colony, Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, Opera New Jersey, the Opera Company of North Carolina, and Shreveport Opera.
